Marlin 2019 Internship Applications Are OPEN

Albert Einstein once said: “the only source of knowledge is experience.” But when entering the world of work, experience can often be hard to come by. So as swathes of experience seeking, knowledge hungry graduates enter the workplace, it’s no surprise internships are fast becoming one of the most valuable stepping stones into employment.

Approached right, internships are investments in your future. Not only do they offer real-world, hands-on experience working within a specific industry or job role, they can help develop professional acumen and build confidence and knowledge, all whilst supercharging your CV. They can provide building blocks you need to set the foundation for your career.

At Marlin we run a paid intern programme every summer and are proud to say nearly 20% of our team has joined us through internships.

We’re excited to now be opening applications for our 2019 Intern Programme and have paid one-month placements available in July and August.

The internship offers a brilliant opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a fun and fast-paced PR agency, working with some of the most exciting technologies on the planet - from Slack, Asana and Prezi, to Crowdstrike, Gravity Industries, Photobox Group, Forescout and Sony Professional. Interns will be exposed to the dynamic world of PR and Communications with an abundance of opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge, alongside some of the best talent in the industry. 

And to top that off, we have permanent positions to offer to the most successful interns – starting from September!

What we’re looking for:

  • Confident, articulate communicators
  • Passionate about technology, business and comms
  • Positive energy, passion, attitude and a drive to achieve your true potential, and beyond
  • Strong writers and demonstrable analytical thinking
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as social media
  • Any experience in data analytics, video editing, photoshop and editing tools is a bonus

Eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must be available during at least one of our internship slots this summer (full month of July or full month of August)
  • Free to join a selection day in London on Friday 12th April
  • Able to start work from September

How to apply:

Step one: CV & Video Pitch

We believe we all have a responsibility to use our energy, drive, and creativity to make the world a better place. That’s what our clients do and what we challenge ourselves to do daily.

Through a short video (no longer than 1 1/2 minutes) we want you to show us how you are personally doing this – whether it be through your hobbies, everyday life, studies, relationships etc. There is no set format and no parameters for your video, but it must give us an insight to you as an individual and show us your strengths (whether that be your creativity or analytical skills)

Email all entries along with a copy of your CV to [email protected] by Friday 22nd March

Shortlisted candidates will hear from us by Friday 29th March with next steps.

Step two: Selection Day

Shortlisted applicants will be asked to come and join us for an Intern Selection Day at our offices in London on Friday 12th April. The day will be a fun, challenging and invigorating combination of creative challenges, hands-on tasks and analytical tests designed to put you through your paces in some real-world comms scenarios. You will meet a broad range of experts from across the agency and get a brilliant flavour for Marlin - who we are, how we operate and what makes us all tick.

Step three: Finalists

Successful applicants will be informed by Friday 3rd May and booked in for their internships!
